Extending Your Reach – Syndication Of Your Web Content

One of the best ways to reach a wider audience with your articles is to syndicate it. You are perhaps familar with that term from the way it used to be used: a la newspaper syndication. (Okay, I guess it stillis!) A popular writer has his or her column picked up and run by asyndicate of newspapers across the land. A similar apparatus exists onthe Web. High-quality, SEO optimized articles are written and placedstrategically for effect. That effect is to not only garner backlinks, but also to…See More

What Does Google’s MayDay Update Mean for You?

Most likely; nothing. Whenever Google comes out with some algorithm change, (and that’s what this is) hysteria hits the streets, and even site owners whose pages haven’t been impacted in any meaningful way getskittish. This is an algorithmic change aimed at improving the search results returned for longtail search queries. Large sites that have product pages with scant unique content within them, and precious few links aswell are the most impacted. Many times they contain only amanufacturers…See More

What Is Keyword Research? (And how the heck do you do it!?!?)

This is the fence that stands between most beginning (and more advanced!) internet marketers and their dreams. You know you need heavily trafficked, low-competition keyword phrases, but are lost about how to find them. While this task does require a bit of work, it can be done, even in competitive markets. Those take a bit more digging, but can be unearthed just the same!First, you need to understand the realities of your market. If you want to sell diet books, and want to rank for the keyword…See More

Your Article Marketing Strategy – How Many Were Written Last Month?

Ouch – that question may sting a bit! But the reality is, if we want to say we actually have an article marketing strategy then we need to pump up the volume a bit. An article or two a month is nice for your ego, but not so great for marketing purposes. There are

millions of pages being indexed on the Web every day; there needs to be

an amount that helps your site rise both in authority and rank, and you

need to make sure…

Follow and NoFollow Links – Should You Care?

Ever since Google introduced the concept of follow and nofollow attributes to linking, there has been a lot of confusion as to what exactly they are and what are the best practices considering them.

Let's sort it out a bit.

The nofollow tag was created to prevent spammers from taking over the world. (Or at least your blog comments) So, how's that working for you, search engines? It was a noble idea, but ultimately it hurts…
